Rules and Regulations

In order to insure the proper operation of the Bardstown Cemetery, policies have been developed which are fair and equitable to all. Only through the cooperation of the owners can the Cemetery continue to be a place of beauty for all to enjoy.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Pets must remain on leash
  • No alcohol
  • Speed limit 15 MPH
  • No driving on the grass
  • No defacing monuments or structures
  • No planting flowers or other landscaping
  • No picking or removing flowers or other landscaping without approval from the Public Works Superintendent or City Groundskeeper.
  • Real and artificial flowers and other small decorations are permitted only in vases which are permanently attached to a monument. If these decorations become faded, detached, ragged, or damaged, the cemetery staff may remove them.

November 1st - January 15th
All fixed arrangements are allowed near or on the monument.

January 16th - October 31st
No flower arrangements, toys, balloons, eternal flames, shepherd’s hooks or other loose articles are allowed on the monument or on the ground that would cause debris or hinder safety, maintenance or mowing.
