INVITATION TO BID                         City of Bardstown – Multi-Use Path Project

BID ADVERTISEMENT: September 7, 2018

MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING: September 18, 2018, 10:00 AM EST                    

BID OPENING: October 2, 2018, 10:00 AM EST

PRE-BID QUESTIONS: All questions should be submitted in writing no later than September 26, 2018, 4:30 PM EST via email to City Engineer Jessica Filiatreau PE (jhfiliatreau@bardstowncable.net); Responses will be provided by September 28, 2018, 4:30 PM EST.

BID DATE: October 2, 2018

LOCATION: Bardstown City Hall, 220 North 5th Street, 
 Bardstown, KY                                             

Bids shall be submitted for providing and furnishing all necessary labor, material, equipment, services and supervision required to successfully complete the work in the plans and specifications and any duly issued addenda.

Construction contractors and Subcontractors shall be pre-qualified by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.  A list of pre-qualified Contractors and information on the prequalification of Contractors is located at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Construction Procurement website as follows: http://transportation.ky.gov/contract/pqbook.pdf

Contractors bidding the project and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with KYTC at the time of the bid opening.  Subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting sub contracts.  The specified DBE goal for the project is five percent (5%).

All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid.

A copy of the bid documents may be obtained for a refundable deposit of $200.00 per set, checks to be made payable to the City of Bardstown.  Refunds will be returned only if a responsive bid is received and the plans and specifications are returned in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the bids are opened, otherwise no refund will be due.  No drawings will be mailed until receipt of checks.  Successful bidders may retain their plans and the deposit amount will be returned.
