How do I purchase a grave?

What is the cost of a grave within Bardstown Cemetery?
It depends on your residency status.
Bardstown City Residents:
Single lots in sections 1 - 6 and 13 - 18 | $950
Single lots in sections 7-12 and 19-34 | $850
Nelson County Residents:
Single lots in any section | $1,200
Non-Nelson County Residents:
Single lots in any section | $1,500
For baby graves and cremation graves, regardless of residency status | $250
Are there graves just for cremation?
Yes, we do have some graves that are smaller for cremations or infants. The cost is $250 per grave.
On a standard grave, can more than one person utilize the grave?
Yes, one person can be buried in-ground with up to 2 cremations on top.
Are vaults required?
Is there specific timeframes a person can decorate a grave?
What do I do if my loved one's grave is sinking?
Call Bardstown City Hall and speak with our cemetery staff. A work order can be placed to add more dirt to the grave.

Can the City help me find my ancestor that is buried in the Bardstown Cemetery?
