Job Opening: Engineering Administrative Assistant
Performs various administrative duties for six to eight departmental personnel, including typing and composition of letters, public notices, contracts, orders, easements, minutes, bid packages, forms, etc.
Accepts and screens phone calls for departmental personnel.
Receives and processes incoming mail daily.
Handles complaints and/or assigns to proper personnel.
Monitors training requirements; enrolls departmental personnel in training programs; maintains training records.
Dispatches work orders and trouble calls and maintains daily logs of all calls; tree trimming requests; industrial billing spreadsheets; billing for electric department services.
Maintains files for Water, Sewer, Garbage and Street Departments, including dumpster spreadsheet, access information from utility operations and CFO, record and find plats, easements, etc. in County Clerk's Office, compiling and assisting in the preparation of plans and specifications for public works projects under direction of engineers.
Salary is based on qualification and experience.

- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of related work experience, preferably with a public organization
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
