Update: The Boil Water Advisory For ALL Water Customers Has Been Lifted

Update: This Advisory has been lifted.

The City of Bardstown is issuing a “Boil Water Advisory” for ALL City of Bardstown Water Customers on August 9, 2021.

The City of Bardstown Water Treatment plant has experienced a mechanical failure resulting in reduced treatment volume capacity. As a result, the water tank levels are struggling to be maintained and distribution system pressures are low as water customer demands are exceeding our treatment capacity while repairs are being made. Customers may experience low or intermittent water pressure, and, therefore, drinking water should be boiled as a precautionary measure. Although we believe any health risk is extremely low as there is no break in the system, the Advisory is out of caution. This advisory will be in effect for approximately 2-3 days. The City will notify customers when the advisory is lifted.
