Network Disruption Updates


Update On City of Bardstown, Kentucky Network Disruption
The City of Bardstown IT department is continuing to make good progress in resolving this network disruption and restoring our systems, including service to Bardstown Connect customers.
Here is the status as of 10 AM E.T. today:
  • Internet and Wi-Fi services have been fully restored for Bardstown Connect residential and commercial customers.
  • Bardstown Connect customer email services are now fully restored and operational. Bardstown Connect email users will need to update their email password to regain access. If there are any issues regaining access, please reach out to our IT team at 502-348-7800.
  • On the city web services front, we are continuing to make good progress in restoring remaining systems that were impacted by this network disruption.
  • The City of Bardstown would also like to reassure our customers that their personal computers are safe and will not be affected as a result of the City’s network disruption.
Simultaneous to ongoing network restoration efforts, and supported by leading third-party cybersecurity experts, we are continuing to work around the clock to investigate this incident and its cause, and to identify opportunities to strengthen existing security measures to help prevent recurrence in the future.
Protecting the security of Bardstown Connect customer's information, and the city websites that so many rely on, is a top priority and a responsibility we take very seriously.
