The City of Bardstown is looking for qualified individuals to fill the position of seasonal maintenance worker with our Public Works Department.

Job Duties

• Assists in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of City streets, roads, water distribution lines, sewer collection lines, bridges, sidewalks, alleys, storm sewers, culverts, manholes, drainage ditches, street signs, barricades, etc.
• Performs preventive maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment.
• Cleans and properly stores equipment and tools after use.
• Mows grass, cuts trees and tree limbs.
• Spreads gravel; cleans streets and roads;
• Collects garbage and refuse on assigned daily routes by use of hand-carried containers and deposits in collection vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hours and Compensation
Pay for this position starts at $15.00/hr. Shifts are 8am - 4:30pm Monday-Friday. Seasonal employees work a 40-hour work week for up to 9 months.
