Mayor's Message about the Upcoming Winter Storm: Dec 21 2022

Mayor Heaton created a video for all Bardstown residents going over some important information about the upcoming winter storm expected to hit Bardstown and Nelson County. 

  • The winter storm is expected to begin early Thursday evening (Dec 22nd 2022)
  • Please stay off the roads until they have been cleared of ice and snow
  • Garbage pickup for Friday has been rescheduled for Thursday
  • Bardstown Police will be patrolling and providing condition updates through their Facebook page
  • Mayor Heaton urges business owners to consider opening later on Friday to give crews time to clear the roads in the morning
  • If your power goes out or you are without heat, you can go to the Bardstown Civic Center to get warm. It is the official "warming station". It is located at 317 S. 3rd Street in Bardstown.
