Free Summer Concert Series A Great Family Activity

Central Kentucky Community BandNestled in the far corner of the Henrytown neighborhood in Bardstown, folks bring out their lawn chairs and picnics on Friday nights. They reconnect with family friends and relax while the summer sun sets behind the pavilion that's transformed into a stage. Each summer, The Stephen Foster Music Club puts on a free outdoor concert series sponsored by Edward Jones. The concert series, held every Friday night between the end of May and the end of August, features a wide variety of musical styles, from bluegrass to jazz, to classic rock, to country and Sousa. It all takes place in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Bardstown Community Park. Each concert is a great opportunity to get outside, relax, and chat with friends and neighbors. The Bardstown Community Park also provides a playground, swing sets, and a basketball court so kids can run and play while parents enjoy some music and the cool(er) night air.

The park has recently added restroom facilities, as well as a covered pavilion just off the parking lot that offers an excellent view of the stage below. Handicap individuals or people unable to descend the grass slope can now enjoy the concert from prime seating.

Come out this summer to see any number of the wonderful bands and musical groups on the 2019 concert lineup. It's a night of musical fun for the whole family!

In the event of rain, concert will be held at the Farmers Market on East Flaget Ave.
