REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
Engineering Services Related to Designing Improvements for an Elevated Storage Tank, Booster Station, and Transmission Line
The City of Bardstown, Kentucky is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified engineering firms licensed in the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide engineering services for improvements to the water distribution system in the eastern part of our service area. The project will include properly sizing and locating a storage tank based on existing and future growth in the pressure zone along with associated 1500 gpm +/- booster station with 9,800 ft + of 16 inch transmission main. The project will add an additional feed to maintain and support growth in the Nelson County Industrial Park, our wholesale customer of Bloomfield, as well as Bardstown customers in the Botland, Fredricktown, and Woodlawn area. This project is needed to provide one-day storage in the East Bardstown pressure zone as well as resiliency in the event of breaks, maintenance, and/or natural disasters, etc.
The City’s goal is to have a set of construction plans and specifications completed to go out for bid Summer 2022.
The SOQ shall include all similar projects completed over the last five years and resumes of key personnel. Include client reference information for similar projects and a description of such projects to demonstrate the firm’s design capabilities. Please include a copy of your firm’s hourly fee schedule. The Consulting Engineer’s SOQ shall be evaluated on Key Personnel Experience, the Firm’s Experience, Client References as well as ability to meet City’s timeline and budget.
The SOQ’s will be evaluated by key Bardstown staff. The evaluations and recommendation will be made to the Mayor and City Council. Work will be performed under a single Agreement with Work Orders issued for progressive phases of the project.
