We're Hiring: Sanitation Worker (Full-Time)
The City of Bardstown is looking for a qualified individual to fill the full-time position of sanitation worker with our Public Works Department.
Job Duties
- Collects garbage and refuse on assigned daily routes by use of hand-carried containers and deposits in collection vehicle.
- Assists in performing minor repairs on collection vehicle; assists in cleaning and sanitizing collection vehicle.
- Reports customer complaints to proper authority for investigation and disposition.
- May occasionally operate sanitation collection vehicles.
Salary is based on qualifications and experience. Starting salary: $20/hr. Health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacation, paid holidays, paid personal days, State retirement program, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, free life insurance.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
