Chloramine Conversion Scheduled for First Week in December

Don Wilson with Liquid Ammonia Sulfate tanksA change is coming to your drinking water. During the first week of December 2018, the City of Bardstown will begin using monochloramine to treat your water.

Most people won’t notice a change, but dialysis treatment facilities and those who keep fish, amphibians and other aquatic life need to take special precautions.

If you keep aquatic pets, you may want to look through our brochure about this change. If you still have questions, you can find out more by reading our FAQs, calling 502-348-5947 or exploring https://www.epa.gov/.
